Voice-Acoustic Ikarray-6
The Voice-Acoustic Ikarray-6 is a passive 2-way compact line-array system equipped with 2 x 6,5″ transducer and a centrally positioned, continuous line of 8 x 1″ tweeters with 100° horizontal dispersion.
The tweeter array features a slight pre-curving of the wavefront to achieve better coupling between angled array elements. To increase power handling and reduce power compression, the tweeters are mounted on a heat sink which is cooled by the airflow from the newly designed long-excursion neodymium woofers. By positioning two 6.5″ transducers above each other, the effective length for long throw into the low-mids is achieved cost-effectively with just a few array elements. In addition, the design is very slim, a line-array in the favoured column format.
The sound quality of the Ikarray-6 is comparable to a high-quality studio monitor, but with concert sound level. Voices and instruments are reproduced in high resolution and smoothly over the entire dispersion range. The Ikarray sounds much more powerful and larger than its compact dimensions would suggest.
Due to a low cut-off frequency, the combination with any subwoofer possible.
Truly unique is the newly developed, innovative steel-in-sttel rigging system of the Ikarray-6. It is visually hidden on the back of the speaker and allows easy adjustment of the angle from 0-10° in 1° steps. Thanks to the patented connection mechanism, no rigging hardware is required on the front or side panel of the speaker. This allow the appearance of the Ikarray-6 to be designed in a timelessly classy style. The beautifully curved front grille with discreet mini-honeycomb perforation and large lateral R50 radii makes the speaker look very elegant even in architecturally demanding environments and can be integrated unobtrusively anywhere.
